Board Member - Ms Ansheng Chen
Dr. Ruiqing Liu, BPhil and MPhil in Foreign Philosophy from Zhejiang University, Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Auckland, former Social Media/Communications Advisor at the Labour Leader's Office of Rt Hon Jacinda Ardern. Dr. Liu worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at both Chinese and New Zealand universities. During her tenure as an advisor, Dr. Liu was dedicated to accurately communicating social policies and media releases from the New Zealand Parliament to the local Chinese community. She is a significant organizer of Chinese cultural events in New Zealand, collaborating with various local government and non-governmental organizations in delivering numerous large-scale events promoting Chinese culture in New Zealand.
Dr. Liu has devoted her career to fostering cultural and academic exchanges between China and New Zealand, striving to create the most effective learning experiences for students. She is committed to building bridges between the two countries, enriching the educational landscape, and ensuring that students receive the best outcome from the highest quality education.
Ansheng Chen is the Chairperson of the Sheng Xi Charitable Trust and the Founding President of the Wenzhou Fellowship Association in New Zealand. She has dedicated much of her life to building schools, supporting public welfare, alleviating poverty, and promoting education. Additionally, she has been actively involved in fundraising for disaster relief and epidemic control, having raised over 100 million RMB for various charitable initiatives. Her work with numerous NGOs and international organizations has positively impacted hundreds of thousands of families. Ansheng Chen is adept in strategic planning and execution, team leadership and management, market expansion both domestically and internationally, corporate social responsibility and sustainability, as well as fundraising and charity project management.
